GOD’S COVENANT, ISRAEL

PROPHECY UPDATE 2002

PART 1

Listen to this study with Real Audio HOL1029

Welcome to our prophecy update 2002 on this New Years Eve.  This is our eighth prophecy update since I came up here back in 1995.  And as 2002 comes to a close and we enter into 2003 it truly seems like the Lord’s return is very close. One of the biggest signs, prophetically speaking, is the re-birth of the nation of Israel as the Jews once again became a nation back in 1948 and made Jerusalem their capitol in 1965.

Today the cry by many is to give the land back to the Palestinians and kick the Jews out because the land is not theirs but the Palestinians.  In fact, this issue has caused a rise in anti-Semitism throughout the world. Listen to what is being said by these anti-Semitic activists, some who say they are Christians. This is from the Sheboygan Press, November 29, 2002.  The article says:

JERUSALEM (AP) – A United Methodist pastor from Washington state was among a group of protesters detained after demonstrating against Israel’s construction of a security fence near the West Bank town of Tullkarem.

The Rev. Gordon Hutchins said he was released Nov. 19 after four days in custody and rejoined the Lutheran group he had been traveling with.

“The people of Palestine are being systematically destroyed,” he told United Methodist News Service.  “The objective of Israel is ultimately to be the only people in this country.”

Now that is an interesting statement because the reality is, it is the other way around!  Remember when Prime Minister of Israel, Barak, encouraged by President Clinton, was willing to give up 90% of the West Bank, the Jordan Valley, returning to the pre-1967 boarders which meant they would give up the old city of Jerusalem also!   Guess what?  Arafat rejected all those offers Barak offered him.  Why?  Because they don’t want most of the land, they want all of the land with the Jews completely out of the picture, out of the land!  It is not land for peace; it is land for the removal of the Jews from Israel!

Also, think about this from an advertisement in U. S. News & World Report:

Israel is a Democratic Country.  Israel is an open, pluralistic, and egalitarian [free] society.  Different religions, cultures, and social traditions coexist.  Protection of such diversity is embedded in Israel’s traditions and confirmed by the government.  About 20% of the population (over one million people) are non-Jews, most of them Arabs, and some Druze.  Like all other Israeli citizens, they have full rights to vote and hold elective office. Both Arabs and Druze hold seats in the Knesset, the Israeli parliament.  Every Knesset, since the founding of the State in 1948, has had Arab and Druze members. . . In contrast to the non-Israeli Arab world, Arab women in Israel enjoy the same status as men. Israeli law grants women equal rights, including the right to vote and to be elected to public office, prohibits polygamy, child marriage, and the barbarity of female sexual mutilation. . . Israeli health institutions are open to all Arabs, on the same basis as they are to Jews.

                                                                                                            - FLAME

How many times have you been told that by the News media?  Never!  In fact, look at the contrast between what Israel is doing and what the other Arab nations are doing.  No Jew is allowed into Saudi Arabia and since 1946 when there was around 900,000 Jews in Arab countries; today there is less than 25,000!  Back in 1948 there were only 150,000 Arabs in Israel, but today there are over 1 million, an almost seven-fold increase. So what you hear on the news is not accurate, it is not the Arabs who are being persecuted, but the Jews, and not only by the Arabs, but by the world!

On the other end, the Arabs don’t want peace with the Jews.  This is from a Time magazine article, October 23, 2000, after the Arab uprising in Jerusalem, “. . . a Palestinian youth tearing down Joseph’s tomb last week told a reporter: ‘This peace?  We don’t want it. We will fight until we have liberated the land.’”  In other words, they will fight till the Jews have been destroyed, driven out of the land!

The day after Arafat signed the Declaration of Principles, he assured the Palestinians over Jordanian TV that he was simply implementing the 10-step PLO plan of phases for Israel’s destruction. The first step, now successfully accomplished, calls for obtaining territory within Israel as a launch pad for her final holocaust!

Understand this, a handshake, a promise, a deal, the signing of a contract is meaningless to Muslims. Yasser Arafat, early in 1994, in a speech at a Johannesburg, South Africa mosque, called for the continuation of the Jihad or holy war so that the Arabs could retake Jerusalem.  Listen carefully to what he had to say, for it is very alarming. He said:

“This agreement [between the PLO and Israel], I am not considering it more than the agreement which had been signed between our prophet Mohammed and Kuraish.” You see, after signing this “peace treaty” with his own tribe, the Kuraish, Mohammed broke it on a pretext, killed the Kuraish leaders and conquered Mecca. So what Arafat was saying is that the PLO’s agreement with Israel is only a step toward her destruction and this contract is intended to be broken!  In fact, Arafat has said on several occasions, “The goal of our struggle is the end of Israel, there can be no compromise.”  Is anyone listening? Is anyone paying attention?  Arafat has not kept one of the treaty’s he has signed with Israel!  You see, when you get right down to it, the fight is not over the land, they really don’t care about it, what they are fighting for is Israel’s right to exist and if they continue to exist and live in the land, it will negate what the Koran teaches!  So Israel, the Jews must go!

Again, from U. S. News & World Report:

THE “PALESTINIANS”.  That is the fundamental myth. The concept of “Palestinians” is one that did not exist until about 1948, when the Arab inhabitants, of what until then was Palestine, wished to differentiate themselves from the Jews.  Until then, the Jews were the Palestinians. There was the Palestinian Brigade of Jewish volunteers in the British World War II Army (at a time when the Palestinian Arabs were in Berlin hatching plans with Adolf Hitler for world conquest and how to kill all the Jews); there was the Palestinian Symphony Orchestra (all Jews, of course); there was The Palestine Post; and so much more.

The Arabs who now call themselves “Palestinians” do so in order to persuade a misinformed world that they are a distinct nationality and that “Palestine” is their ancestral homeland.  But they are no distinct nationality at all.  They are the same – in language, custom, and tribal and family ties – as the Arabs of Syria, Jordan, and beyond.  What’s more, many of the “Palestinians”, or their immediate ancestors, came to the area attracted by the prosperity created by the Jews, in what previously had been pretty much of a wasteland.

The “West Bank”.  Again, this is a concept that did not exist until 1948, when the army of the Kingdom of Transjordan, together with five other Arab armies, invaded the Jewish state of Israel, on the very day of its creation.  In what can almost be described as a Biblical miracle, the ragtag Jewish forces defeated the combined Arab might. But Transjordan stayed in possession of Judea and Samaria and the eastern part of Jerusalem.  The Jordanians expelled all the Jews from the area that they occupied, destroyed all Jewish houses of worship, and renamed as “West Bank” the territories that had been Judea and Samaria since time immemorial.

The attempt, quite successful, was to persuade an uniformed world that these territories were ancestral parts of the Jordanian Arab Kingdom (itself a very recent creation of British power diplomacy). Even after the total rout of the Arabs in the 1967 Six-Day War, in which the Jordanians were driven out of Judea/Samaria and of Jerusalem, they and the world continued to call this territory the “West Bank”, a geographical and political concept that cannot be found on any except the most recent maps.  The concept of the “West Bank” is a myth.

                                                                                                                        - FLAME

Also, David Hocking said this regarding some of the myths about Israel and the Middle East:

First, the widely disseminated idea that the Jews were disbursed from their ancient homeland by the Romans in the first century A.D. is a myth. In fact it was not until the seventh century A.D. Moslem invasion that Jews were finally expelled in large numbers, murdered, or fled to nearby countries. Even then communities of Jews continuously lived in the land. It is particularly notable that even after Titus’ destruction of Jerusalem (A.D. 70) which resulted in the expulsion or death of over 1,000,000 Jews, the Jewish population in Israel remained at around 3,000,000.

Second, the idea that immigration by Jews to Israel began following WWII and the Holocaust, that it was precipitated by the world’s sympathy, and that Jews displaced the local Arab residents west of the Jordan river is also a myth. . .

Fourth: The idea that when the Jews returned, in what Yassir Arafat now calls the Jewish Invasion of Palestine beginning in 1888 and that they displaced Arabs living on productive and verdant farms, and spreading citrus groves is total myth.  Many who were there describe it differently.  In the 1870’s Samuel Manning, In Those Holy Fields, London, 1874 referred to the same land as “left desolate and without inhabitants.” Nothing had changed since 1867 when Mark Twain traveled the area and wrote in Innocents Abroad (p. 349), “Palestine sits in sackcloth and ashes . . . desolate and unlovely.”

                                                            - Hope for Today, David Hocking, Sept/ Oct 1997

And lastly, Joseph Farah says this regarding some of the myths of the Middle East:

Isn’t it interesting that prior to the 1967 Arab Israeli war, there was no serious movement for a Palestinian homeland? . . .

In the Six-Day War, Israel captured Judea, Samaria and East Jerusalem. But they didn’t capture these territories from Yasser Arafat.  They captured them from Jordan’s King Hussein. I can’t help but wonder why all these Palestinians suddenly discovered their national identity after Israel won the war.

The truth is that Palestine is no more real than Never-Never Land. The first time the name was used was in 70 A.D. when the Romans committed genocide against the Jews, smashed the Temple and declared the land of Israel would be no more. From then on, the Romans promised, it would be known as Palestine.  The name was derived from the Philistines, a Goliathian people conquered by the Jews centuries earlier. . .

There is no language known as Palestinian. There is no distinct Palestinian culture.  There has never been a land known as Palestine governed by Palestinians.  Palestinians are Arabs, indistinguishable form Jordanians (another recent invention), Syrians, Lebanese, Iraqis, etc.  Keep in mind that the Arabs control 99.9 percent of the Middle East lands.  Israel represents one-tenth of 1 percent of the landmass. . .

What about Islam’s holy sites? There are none in Jerusalem. . .

. . . In fact, the Koran says nothing about Jerusalem.  It mentions Mecca hundreds of times. It mentions Medina countless times.  It never mentions Jerusalem. With good reason. There is no historical evidence to suggest Mohammed ever visited Jerusalem. . .

            - Joseph Farah, Between The Lines, Myths of the Middle East, October 11, 2000

Now, in saying all that, who does the land really belong to?  First of all it belongs to God, He created all the land and it is His and He can give it to whoever He wants!  Secondly, there are some Christians today that feel that God’s promises to the Jewish people were conditional and because they have rejected Jesus Christ as the Messiah, they have forfeited those promises, the land of Israel. But, as we shall see, that is totally unscriptural!

In Genesis 12:1-3 we are told, Now the LORD had said to Abram: ‘Get out of your country, From your family And from your father's house, To a land that I will show you.  I will make you a great nation; I will bless you And make your name great; And you shall be a blessing.  I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.’  And in Genesis 13:14-17 we are told, And the LORD said to Abram, after Lot had separated from him: ‘Lift your eyes now and look from the place where you are -- northward, southward, eastward, and westward; for all the land which you see I give to you and your descendants forever.  And I will make your descendants as the dust of the earth; so that if a man could number the dust of the earth, then your descendants also could be numbered.  Arise, walk in the land through its length and its width, for I give it to you.’   Notice this is an unconditional promise or covenant that God made with Abraham, and an everlasting covenant. How can I be sure?

Listen to what is said in Genesis 15:7-21, Then He said to him, ‘I am the LORD, who brought you out of Ur of the Chaldeans, to give you this land to inherit it.’  And he said, ‘Lord GOD, how shall I know that I will inherit it?’  So He said to him, ‘Bring Me a three-year-old heifer, a three-year-old female goat, a three-year-old ram, a turtledove, and a young pigeon.’  Then he brought all these to Him and cut them in two, down the middle, and placed each piece opposite the other; but he did not cut the birds in two.  And when the vultures came down on the carcasses, Abram drove them away.  Now when the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell upon Abram; and behold, horror and great darkness fell upon him.  Then He said to Abram: ‘Know certainly that your descendants will be strangers in a land that is not theirs, and will serve them, and they will afflict them four hundred years.  And also the nation whom they serve I will judge; afterward they shall come out with great possessions.  Now as for you, you shall go to your fathers in peace; you shall be buried at a good old age.  But in the fourth generation they shall return here, for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet complete.’  And it came to pass, when the sun went down and it was dark, that behold, there appeared a smoking oven and a burning torch that passed between those pieces.  On the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying: ‘To your descendants I have given this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the River Euphrates -- the Kenites, the Kenezzites, the Kadmonites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Rephaim, the Amorites, the Canaanites, the Girgashites, and the Jebusites.’

You see, when the covenant was sealed, Abraham was asleep and it was God who walked through the sacrifices, showing us that this covenant is based upon God’s faithfulness and not on the children of Israel.

Yes, they were driven out of the land for their disobedience, but not completely removed, there was always a remnant in the land and God promised them that He would bring them back. And that is what we are seeing today just as Isaiah 11:11 tells us, It shall come to pass in that day That the Lord shall set His hand again the second time To recover the remnant of His people who are left, From Assyria and Egypt, From Pathros and Cush, From Elam and Shinar, From Hamath and the islands of the sea.  This began in 1948 as the Jewish people became a nation once again in the land of Israel, almost 2,000 years without a homeland and yet staying a separate people!  Then in 1967 they made Jerusalem their capital.  It is as Ezekiel chapter 37 tells us, the vision of dry and lifeless bones that God brings to life and places back into the land once again, one nation. We are told, Then say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD: “Surely I will take the children of Israel from among the nations, wherever they have gone, and will gather them from every side and bring them into their own land; and I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king over them all; they shall no longer be two nations, nor shall they ever be divided into two kingdoms again.”’  Ezekiel 37:21-22.

Also, notice what David says in Psalm 132:13-18, For the LORD has chosen Zion; He has desired it for His dwelling place: ‘This is My resting place forever; Here I will dwell, for I have desired it.  I will abundantly bless her provision; I will satisfy her poor with bread.  I will also clothe her priests with salvation, There I will make the horn of David grow; I will prepare a lamp for My Anointed.  His enemies I will clothe with shame, But upon Himself His crown shall flourish.’  God has chosen not only the Jewish people but the land of Zion, Israel for Himself and for them to dwell in.  In fact, Jerusalem is mentioned over 800 times in the Bible and yet the Muslims also claim Jerusalem as its third most holy site even though Jerusalem is not mentioned once in the Koran!

Look at its history!  In 1003 B.C. David conquered the stronghold of the Jebusites and declared Jerusalem as the capitol of Israel. And you know what; it has       NEVER been the capital of any other country or people!  I bet you didn’t know that!

Again, many like to say that the land of Israel doesn’t belong to the Jews because they have only returned in 1948.  As we have seen, that is untrue; there is no historical basis to believe that!  But also, think about this.  Saudi Arabia was not created until 1913.  Lebanon was not created until 1920.  Iraq did not exist as a nation until 1932.  Syria did not exist as a nation until 1941.  The boarders of Jordan were established in 1946. And Kuwait, it was established in 1961.  All these countries were under the control of the Turks prior to that and yet no one would deny their existence or right to the land, would they?

And for us Americans who are so vocal in telling Israel to get out of the land and that the Arabs have the right to use force, use homicide bombers to make their point because of the persecution they have endured over the years, which is not true, think about this.  I wonder how these same people would feel if the Native American Indians started blowing up buildings, buses, restaurants because of the persecution they have endured over the years? Of course we would be against that and yet many have no problem with the terrorist activities in Israel perpetrated by the Arabs!  Do you see how irrational that kind of thinking is?

Since Israel’s independence in 1948, they have fought four wars.  The War of Independence in 1948 as the Arab world came against this new nation.  The Sinai Campaign in 1956.  The Six-Day War in 1967 and the Yom Kippur War in 1973 as Egypt and Syria came down upon the Jews on one of their holiest days of the year, a surprise attack!

And please understand that each time, all four wars, Israel was being attacked and had to fight back just to survive!  They were not the aggressors!  And in each of these wars they fought against impossible odds – totally outnumbered and outgunned! And yet God preserved them and gave them the victory!

And that battle continues today with the terrorist attacks and the preparation for a war in the Middle East!  I know, many say that Yasser Arafat is a man of peace, he won the Nobel Peace Prize, how I don’t know, but He is not a man of peace, he is a terrorist.  Shocked?  Arafat does keep very good records, even though he denies any ties to these terrorist attacks in Israel.  Listen to Arafat’s correspondence from his personal accounting department in Ramallah.  It is an itemized bill signed by the Al Aqsa Brigades – Palestine, and dated September 16, 2001, exactly five days after the September 11 suicide attacks in the United States.

The document is a routine request for Arafat to approve the daily outlay for the arming of suicides with explosives and ammo, their memorial ceremonies and funeral posters. This is all from a body of evidence that Israeli troops removed from Arafat’s headquarters in Ramallah and it demonstrates that Arafat supervised every last detail of the Palestinian suicide offensive even though he tries to deny it.  The document says:

1.  Cost of posters for Martyrs of the al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades: Azam Mazhar, Osama

Juabra, Shadi Afouri, Yasser Badawi, Ahad Fares (inserted by hand: NIS2,000).

2.  Cost of printed notices, invitations and mourners’ tents (inserted by hand: NIS1,250).

3.  Cost of attaching personal photos of these martyrs to wooden panels, plus those of

Tabeth Tabeth and Mahmound al Jamil (inserted by hand: NIS1,000).

4.  Cost of memorial ceremonies for martyrs.  Memorial ceremonies held for Martyr

Azam, Martyr Osama (inserted by hand:NIS6,000).

5.  Cost of electrical goods and miscellaneous chemical substances (for manufacturing

explosives and bombs – the largest item. [One prepared explosive device – NIS 700 at

least] We need 5-9 devices per week for the squads in the different regions [inserted

     by hand: NIS x 4 = NIS20,000 per month]).

6.  Cost of bullets (cost of Kalashnikov ammo is NIS – 8 per bullet; M-16 bullets cost

NIS2-2.5 each) We need bullets supplied on a daily basis.

7.  Note: Avaliable are 3,000 Kalashnicov bullets @ NIS2 each. We need a sum of

money at once to buy them (inserted by hand: NIS22,500 for Kalashnikov bullets –

     NIS60,000 for M-16 bullets).

In conclusion, glory and pride to those who support our brave resistance against the occupation.  Revolution until victory.

                        - Prophecy Update – The Coming Collapse of Israel (Part 2) – 4/02/02

And remember what happened back on January 4, 2002. We read:

Israeli commandos seized a ship in the Red Sea, capturing 50 tons of weapons destined for the Palestinian Authority (PA).  Army chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Shaul Mofaz told a news conference that the PA owned the ship and the captain was a Palestinian naval officer. . . The PA was caught red-handed, but denied any involvement. “We insist that the PA has nothing to do with this ship, these allegations are false,” said Palestinian Minister Yasser Abed Rabbo. . .

                                                                                    - Israel Today, January 4, 2002

After a briefing by Israeli intelligence officials, the United States has acknowledged that the Palestinian Authority and Yasser Arafat were involved in the shipment of 50 tons of weapons seized by Israel last week.  “We had some pretty extensive briefings with an Israeli intelligence team. . . and feel the case is very compelling that senior Palestinian Authority figures and Fatah people were involved with this shipment, “ a senior US official told reporters.  Speaking on condition of anonymity, he said the shipment involved “decisions and actions of such a nature that one would assume they would have to have been made at the highest level. From the information provided by the Israelis, we would strongly suspect that Arafat knew about the shipment.”

                                                                                    - Israel Today, January 10, 2002

And think about this, since the uprising of the Palestinians, or more correctly, the Arabs in September of 2000, there has been over 12,000 terrorist attacks against Israel, resulting in over 400 Israelis being killed and over 3,000 injured! There is no evidence that the Arabs want peace!

In fact, listen to what one leader has said:

“Hamas leader Sheikh Ahmed Yassin said yesterday he expected Israel to be eliminated and a Palestinian state to be established early in the first quarter of the 21st century.  ‘The first quarter of the next century will witness the elimination of the Zionist entity (Jewish state) and the establishment of the Palestinian state over the whole of Palestine,’ REUTERS quotes Yassin as telling a news conference in Damascus, the latest stop of a regional tour.  ‘The strong will not remain strong forever and the weak will not remain weak forever.  Things change. . . there is now a growing resistance against Israel,’ he said.”

We have seen what the Arabs want to do with the Jews and the land of Israel, but what is the world saying.  Listen:

In the end, Armstrong suggests, claims to Jerusalem cannot be settled by who was there first or who identifies most deeply with its spirituality.  All the monotheistic religions have to understand that Jerusalem was and is legitimately sacred to others.  Its long and mutable history shows that sovereignty by itself is less important than how well the possessors live up to their faith’s ideals of peace, harmony, tolerance and charity, how successfully they encourage inclusion and coexistence.  That, says Armstrong, ‘must be the way to celebrate Jerusalem’s sanctity today.’  But as she sadly notes, never in history has true holiness triumphed in the Holy City.”

                                                                        - Time, Yours, Mine and Ours, June 3, 1996

“‘Unless we can reach an agreement on Jerusalem, I have to declare that both parts of Jerusalem east and west should be a unified international Jerusalem. . . not just the capital of Israel or Palestine, but a capital of the world,’ said Mr. Qureia, who is speaker of the Palestinian parliament.”

                        - Jerusalem Proposed to be “Capital of the World,” September 6, 2000

It sounds just like what the Antichrist will do as he makes a covenant with Israel to allow them to rebuild their temple again on the Temple Mount, next to the Dome of the Rock, a Muslim shrine!  Time will tell!

As I begin to rap things up, let’s look at this promise that God gave to Israel once again.

1.  It was RECEIVED by an oath:

O seed of Israel His servant, You children of Jacob, His chosen ones!  He is the LORD our God; His judgments are in all the earth.  Remember His covenant forever, The word which He commanded, for a thousand generations, The covenant which He made with Abraham, And His oath to Isaac, And confirmed it to Jacob for a statute, To Israel for an everlasting covenant, Saying, ‘To you I will give the land of Canaan As the allotment of your inheritance,’  I Chronicles 16:13-18.  (Also see Hebrews 6:13-17).

2.  It was REITERATED through Moses:

Yet for all that, when they are in the land of their enemies, I will not cast them away, nor shall I abhor them, to utterly destroy them and break My covenant with them; for I am the LORD their God.  But for their sake I will remember the covenant of their ancestors, whom I brought out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the nations, that I might be their God: I am the LORD.   Leviticus 26:44-45.  (Also see Deuteronomy 7:7-8).

3.  It was REPEATED by the prophets:

Therefore say, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD: “Although I have cast them far off among the Gentiles, and although I have scattered them among the countries, yet I shall be a little sanctuary for them in the countries where they have gone.”’  Therefore say, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD: “I will gather you from the peoples, assemble you from the countries where you have been scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel.”’   Ezekiel 11:16-17.  (Also see Ezekiel 36-38).

4.  It was REHEARSED by the Psalmists:

I have made a covenant with My chosen, I have sworn to My servant David:

‘Your seed I will establish forever, And build up your throne to all generations.’. . . My mercy I will keep for him forever, And My covenant shall stand firm with him. . . Nevertheless My lovingkindness I will not utterly take from him, Nor allow My faithfulness to fail.  My covenant I will not break, Nor alter the word that has gone out of My lips.  Psalm 89:3-4, 28, 33-34.  (Also see Psalm 105:8-11).

5.  It was RECOGNIZED by Jesus:

To perform the mercy promised to our fathers And to remember His holy covenant, The oath which He swore to our father Abraham.  Luke 1:72-73.  (Also see Matthew 19:28).

6.  It was REFERRED to by Paul:

And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written: ‘The Deliverer will come out of Zion, And He will turn away ungodliness from Jacob; For this is My covenant with them, When I take away their sins.’   Romans 11:26-27.  (Also see Romans 9-11).

7.  It was REINFORCED by God:

“‘For I am with you,’ says the LORD, ‘to save you; Though I make a full end of all nations where I have scattered you, Yet I will not make a complete end of you.

But I will correct you in justice, And will not let you go altogether unpunished.’  Jeremiah 30:11.

                                    - Adapted from Hope for Today, David Hocking, September, 2002

The covenant that God made with Israel is an irrevocable covenant that continues on today and will be fully established in the Kingdom Age!  God’s Word is true, and we see that as we look at the birth of the Nation of Israel!

We are told in Zechariah 12:2-3, Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of drunkenness to all the surrounding peoples, when they lay siege against Judah and Jerusalem.  And it shall happen in that day that I will make Jerusalem a very heavy stone for all peoples; all who would heave it away will surely be cut in pieces, though all nations of the earth are gathered against it.

We truly see that today as the world is rising up against this tiny little nation called Israel that only occupies one-tenth of 1 percent of the land mass in the Middle East while the Arabs own 99.9%!

If you want to know what time it is on God’s prophetic time clock, look to Israel and the Middle East and watch the Arab nations as they prepare for war with Israel, dragging Russia into this battle with them as Ezekiel chapters 38 & 39 tell us.  And God tells us that this invading army will be destroyed. I believe that it is this event that ushers in the Antichrist as he tries to unite the world that is on the brink of a nuclear holocaust, economic distress, famine, and-so-on, for he will have the answers and the world will embrace him.  That is the start of the seven year tribulation period.  Let me leave you with these words from Jesus to think about, Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.  Luke 21:28.  KEEP WATCHING!
