IS THERE A RESURRECTION?

MARK 12:18-27

1. What point is Paul making in II Corinthians 5:1-8?

That these bodies are just temporary dwelling places for our spirits to dwell in. And if we are in Christ we will get new bodies. Paul said that to be absent from this body is to be present with the Lord.

2. What kind of life is Paul speaking of In I Corinthians 15:35-38?

Resurrection life. That these bodies must die first, and like a seed that is planted, it will grow and blossom into a beautiful new body. A body that God has created, which has some resemblance to the old body, but this one will never die, never get sick.

3. What is Jesus speaking of in John 14:1-4? What place is He preparing for us?

He isn’t speaking of a physical house or mansion, but a new body for our spirits to dwell in forever.

4. In II Samuel 12, David’s son is deathly ill, and he does die. What point is David making in II Samuel 12:22-23?

David recognized that God is gracious and He may still heel his son. But once his son died, he recognized that he can’t bring him back but one day he will go to be with him. He believed in the resurrection life!
